What are Chat Bots?

A chatbot is an AI program that can be used to conduct online chat conversations via text or text-to-speech, in lieu of providing firsthand contact with a human agent. The purpose of chatbots is to support and scale business teams in their relations with customers; making sure your customers are heard, responded to, and ultimately, taken care of.

How do Chat Bots work?

Chatbots are based on AI and Natural Language Processing technology. These bots are intelligent and can “learn” over time to respond as humans would to free-form user inputs. Qlik Insight Bot

Built on top of Qlik's Associative Engine, the Insight Bot allows users to ask questions conversationally. Once asked, the user can then seamlessly dive into the Qlik Sense visual analytics apps based on the results, with the context retained. Unlike standalone products, this unique approach offers users the ability to enter an experience conversationally and then transition to visual exploration for deeper understanding and discovery. Insights gained include auto-generated charts, interpretations, key drivers, period-over-period calculations, predictions for measures, and even comparative analysis. Users can set alerts for KPI (key performance indicator) thresholds, share and collaborate conversationally, and even interact using voice, with possible Amazon Alexa integration.
